I hereby affirm that I have read the Principles of Unity of the new political party in Illinois, The Independence Party, proposed by the Illinois Committee for Independent Political Action, and solemnly affirm that I will abide by them in my public statements and political advocacy.

If I come to question or disagree with one or more Principles in the future, I will raise my concerns or propose amendments to the Principles by internal party channels or at party meetings, and will otherwise continue to abide by them, or at least not oppose them, in my public statements and political advocacy.
